What started off on the first Sunday in October as an end of season get together of those who ensured the survival of the old factory building, is now one of the region’s best known fetes.
The Glashüttenfest offers a choice of glass crafts in the old factory as well as delicatessen from the region. Food and drink can be eaten in the tent, which seats 450 people, with traditional music to ensure an authentic atmosphere. One half of an Ox is grilled on the huge spit in one piece and the delicious meat is served slice by slice comes. The food theme in the tent is different every year but always consists of various recipes around the Ox.
